Pandya Praises Dhoni's Influence After MI's Narrow Loss to CSK
15 April at 10:25 am
Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya praised MS Dhoni's role in their recent 20-run loss to Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Even though Rohit Sharma scored a century, MI couldn't chase CSK's score of 206. Pandya admitted that CSK played smartly and made good use of the big boundaries on the field. But what impressed Pandya the most was Dhoni's work as the wicketkeeper. He called Dhoni "a man behind the stumps" and pointed out how Dhoni's experience helped CSK win. Dhoni's ability to understand the game and guide the bowlers might have helped CSK find weaknesses in MI's batting lineup. Although Dhoni's big hits towards the end also helped CSK, Pandya stressed on Dhoni's strategic thinking from the wicketkeeper's position. Dhoni's experience and cricketing knowledge gave CSK an edge in this close match.
