Indian Women's Cricket Team Squad Announced for T20I Series Against Bangladesh

The Indian cricket board, BCCI, has picked a team of 16 players for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Bangladesh. It starts on April 28th in Sylhet. The team has a mix of experienced players and some new faces. Two players are getting their first chance to play for the national team. Experienced Players: Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the team, and Smriti Mandhana will be her deputy. The batting line-up includes players like Shafali Verma, Dayalan Hemalatha (who's returning after a break), Richa Ghosh, and Yastika Bhatia. Deepti Sharma, Radha Yadav, Pooja Vastrakar, and Renuka Singh Thakur bring experience to the bowling side. New Players: This series gives a chance to new talent. Leg-spinner Asha Sobhana, who did well in the Women's Premier League (WPL) for Royal Challengers Bangalore, is one of them. All-rounder Sajana Sajeevan, who played a good innings in the Inter-Zonal red-ball tournament, is another new addition. Preparing for the World Cup: This series is important because it helps the team get ready for the Women's T20 World Cup, which will also be held in Bangladesh later this year.
